PowerDMARC’s Reputation Monitoring Service is a feature that helps you monitor your domain names and IP addresses proactively against global blocklists that can affect your email deliverability and the reputation of your brand.
The service includes the following features and functionalities:

Domain Name and IP Address Monitoring
Our reputation monitoring service allows you to add assets (domain names and IP addresses ) for continuous monitoring. Monitoring these assets helps you track their status. You can also set the monitoring frequency and add Notification Integration to instantly receive email and/or webhook alerts. The system conducts checks at user-configurable intervals, with options including 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours as per the available intervals in your plan.
Steps for adding a Monitoring rule which will include assets (domains/IP addresses):
Go to the Reputation Monitoring section on your account
Switch the tab to navigate to the configure section
Click the Add button
On the opened modal enter the Monitoring group name, select/add assets, set the frequency, and add notification integration
Click the Add button
Note: You can find the information on notification integration in the 4th point.
Added Monitoring rule is visible in the Configuration section.
You can delete the added monitoring rule, once deleted the system will not perform blocklist lookups. To update the monitoring rule, you can do so by clicking on the edit icon as shown below:
Change the Integration or frequency of the check, and add or delete assets as per your choice.
DNS Blocklist (RBL/DNSBL)
Our Reputation Monitoring service conducts regular checks to determine whether your domain names or IP addresses have been listed on DNS Blocklists. DNS Blocklists, also known as RBL (Real-time Blackhole List) or DNSBL (DNS Blacklist), are lists of known malicious or spammy IP addresses and domains. Being listed on these lists can negatively affect your email deliverability and online reputation.
Once the Monitoring rule or Group is added, the system will perform an instant blocklist lookup and add the extracted information to the alert history. Once added to the alert history, in about 15 minutes you will receive alerts based on your notification integration added to the Monitoring rule. Further checks will be performed based on your set frequency. The alert history will be updated based on the lookup status of the asset. For example, when an asset gets whitelisted from blocklisted or vice versa - the alert history gets updated.
Insights on Monitoring Results
Monitoring the results of your added assets will be shown in the alert history section.
In the alert history section, you can find your assets and the monitoring results for them. To see whether any of your assets are listed on DNS Blocklists or Whitelists click on the alert history icon:
On the opened popup you will see the status of your asset, the host where it is blocklisted/whitelisted, and the date/time. By clicking on the host you will be redirected to the host’s website.

To see asset details click on the asset name.
Alerts and Notifications
You can configure personalized alerts with the notification integration feature of the service. These alerts can be delivered through email or webhooks (you can add Slack/Discord links). Once a change is detected in the reputation status of your assets, the system will notify you promptly.
Steps for creating Slack webhook for further use in our platform:
Adding incoming webhooks (Slack):
Create a Slack app.
Enable Incoming Webhooks
Create an Incoming Webhook.
Create a Slack app:
Navigate to this URL: https://api.slack.com/apps?new_app=1
Log in to your Slack account if you see, “You’ll need to sign in to your Slack account to create an application.”
Then, you will be prompted to Create a Slack App
In the In-App Name field, give your application a meaningful name
In the Development Slack Workspace field, select your Slack workspace
Click the Create App button
Enable Incoming Webhooks after creating the app. You'll be redirected to the settings page for your new app. Click on the Incoming webhooks and on the opened page switch the toggle to On
Once the Incoming Webhooks are enabled, the settings page should refresh and some extra options will appear
Click the Add New Webhook to Workspace button
You will be redirected to the new page to select an app
Once you select an app and click on Allow you will be redirected to the Incoming Webhooks page
A webhook link is generated which you can copy and use on our platform
13. You shall now be able to receive webhook alerts in your workspace in the Slack app.
Steps for adding webhook in Discord:
Create a server in the Discord app
Click on the expand arrow to find Server Settings
Click on Server Settings
In the opened section click on the Integrations tab
Click on View Webhooks
On the Webhooks section click the New Webhook button
Once clicked, the new webhook will be created. You can specify a custom name for your new webhook and copy the URL to use it on our platform.

Notification integration
You can create a set of integrations to receive alert notifications via email and webhooks and then apply them in Reputation Monitoring.
Steps for creating notification integration:
Expand Settings on your sidebar menu
Click on Notification Integration
On the opened page, click the Add button
Enter the name of your notification integration, add a valid email address if you want to receive email alerts, or insert a webhook link
Click the Save button to save changes
The added notification integration will now be visible on the Add Monitoring Rule popup.

The Summary section displays information based on the latest checks.
Note: For a better understanding we defined three types of assets: Blocklisted, Watchlisted, and Whitelisted, depending on the number of zones where the asset was found.
An asset is Blocklisted if it’s blocklisted in more than one zone/database
An asset is Watchlisted If it’s blocklisted only in one zone/database
An asset is Whitelisted if it’s not listed in any of the blocklisted zones/databases
